mpg321 software package provides Simple and lightweight command line MP3 player, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mpg321
mpg321 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mpg321 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mpg321 *
You will get with mpg321 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
